I spent my free time in March and April planning hikes, hiking and sharing moss photos on Instagram. I did a lot of solo-hiking because my plan was to focus on picture taking and also time my hikes between rain storms.
I'd never experienced much solo hiking before. I was a little reluctant to go at first but once on the trail and then coming home, I always felt pumped up like I'd spent quality time with myself. Due to the rain, there weren't a lot of others on the trials and it was quiet and relaxing.
On Mother's Day, my family was obligated to go hiking with me and we had a spell bound trip down "Steep Ravine Trail" and back. The complaining from my teens stopped the moment we got there. It looks like Middle Earth for "Lord of the Rings" fans.
There quite a few places you can see my moss photos. The main one is Instagram @iheartmoss. I have a blog at iheartmoss.com with recent photos and lots of scientific information about moss and images from previous years. I'm also on Facebook and Twitter though I don't update there as often (same name i heart moss).
Now the rainy season is over, I'll focus on the store and adding products. Send me your ideas or questions, I'd love to hear from you.
